Getting Around D.C.

Race Expo - October 22 & 23
The Army Ten-Miler Race Expo presented by Dell Federal will be held at the DC Armory in Washington, DC. The facility's address is 2001 East Capitol Street, SE.

The DC Armory is located at the Stadium/Armory Metro Station. Use the blue & orange Metro trains.

Free parking is available at the DC Armory in lots 1, 2 and 3.

Race Day - October 24
Metro will open at 6:00am on race day. The Blue line will increase the number of cars and the frequency of the trains. All other lines will run on a Sunday schedule (about every 20 minutes). Visit www.wmata.com to plan your race day travel.

Trains will start to arrive at the Metro stations at about 6:10am.The closet stop to the start line is the Pentagon. The Pentagon City stop is a short walk and also a good option. Make sure to plan your morning around arriving at your start corral by 7:30am. Leave early enough to go to the Clement Nedd Garment Check Zone, if necessary and to get through security.

If you do drive, be aware that there is NO runner parking in the Pentagon north or south parking lots. There is limited parking available at the Pentagon City Mall and the Crystal City Shops.

8:30am - 12:00pm: Health Net Federal Services Youth Activity Zone
10:45am: Health Net Federal Services Youth Runs
11:00am: Army Ten-Miler Awards Ceremony

Race Day Road Restrictions

Route 27 (all lanes) will be closed from 5:30am to 9:30am. Beginning at 7:30am the following roads will close and open on a rolling schedule:

--Arlington Memorial Bridge
--Constitution Avenue between 23rd Street and 18th Street
--Virginia Avenue (all lanes)
--Rock Creek Parkway south of Virginia Avenue
--Independence Avenue (west bound lanes) from Ohio Drive to 14th Street, SW
--3rd Street, from Independence Avenue to Constitution Avenue
--Constitution Avenue between 3rd Street and 1st Street
--14th Street, south I-395 HOV (northbound)
--I-395 HOV Lane (northbound) to the Eads Street ramp
