Team Divisions

 

Team Rules and Management

  • Team Captain - Responsible for creating and managing  team(s) through Team Tools. Anyone willing to invest the time and effort can be a team captain.
  • Register Team Name - Team Captain must register team name online before registering team members. All team members must be registered individuals and pay the individual registration fee.
  • Team Size - Maximum of 8 runners per team. Must have 4 members to qualify as team and score.
  • Team Tools - Allows only the Team Captain to review the team roster, drop/add registered runners, update team captains.
  • Scoring - The top 4 combined times will score. Mixed teams must score at least one member of opposite gender.
  • Team Pick-Up - No longer exists! Runners must pick-up their own packet. Pick-up other team member packet with copy of his/her photo ID. No exceptions!
  • Pre-Paid Entries for Soldier Teams - Team Captains can purchase pre-paid entries only at the time of team name creation. The Team Captain is responsible for the pre-paid referral code and should treat it like a credit card number.Once a pre-paid entry is used, it is gone - a runner can be dropped from the installation team but not from the race unless his/her registration is transferred to another person.

Team Competition and Eligibility
  • Eligibility - Runners must meet eligibility requirements for the division entered. Mixed teams must include at least one person of the opposite gender. Masters must be age 40 or older.
  • Commander's Cup - This prestigious cup, with bragging rights, is awarded to the top United States military men's and women's team. The Commander's Cup will be presented on race day and again at the opening ceremony of the AUSA annual meeting by the Chief of Staff of the Army.
  • International Competition - This prestigious award is given to the country with the best Army team. The International Cup will be presented on race day and again at the AUSA International Reception.
  • Division Awards - Top 3 teams in each division receive awards. Chip time determines all team awards.
  • USCAA -  Award for top team to be given out on the ATM stage. USCAA team awards to the top 3 teams and the top 4 scoring individuals on those teams. Age and gender-adjusted times used to determine team score. Unlimited number of runners per team for USCAA scoring. More info at http://www.uscaa.org/atm.

  • INTERNATIONAL ARMY DIVISION: - International participants, men or women, must be military personnel from a country's Army, Reserve, or Guard components.
  • OPEN: Men / Women / Mixed- Open to all participants. Team members can be military and/or civilian.
  • OPEN MASTERS: Men / Women / Mixed- Participants must be age 40 or older. Team members can be military and/or civilian.
  • ACTIVE DUTY: Men / Women / Mixed- Participants must be military personnel and from the same duty station, installation, division, center or group.
  • ACTIVE DUTY MASTERS: Men / Women / Mixed- Participants must be military personnel age 40 or older and from the same duty station, installation, division, center or group.
  • NATIONAL GUARD Men / Women / Mixed- Participants must have Guard status and be from the same unit, duty station, or installation. Note: Any National Guard with Title 32 duty status (US Code), at the time of the Army Ten-Miler, can compete in the Active Duty competition.
  • RESERVE Men / Women / Mixed- Participants must have Reserve status and be from the same unit, duty station, or installation. Note: Any Reservist with Title 10 duty status (US Code), at the time of the Army Ten-Miler, can compete in the Active Duty competition.
  • SERGEANTS MAJOR - Participants, men or women, must have the rank. Team members can come from Active Duty, Reserve and/or the National Guard.
  • MILITARY ACADEMY - Participants, men or women, must be currently enrolled as cadets and from the same Military Academy.
  • ROTC - Participants, men or women, must be currently enrolled in ROTC and from the same college/university Reserve Officer Training program.
  • GOVERNMENT AGENCY - Participants, men or women, must work for the same city, county, state, or federal agency.
  • CORPORATE - Participants, men or women, must work for the same corporation, organization, or company.
  • US CORPORATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION - Participants, men or women must work for the same corporation, organization, or company to compete in the USCAA Corporate 10-Mile Championships. USCAA membership requirement waived this year. Please visit www.uscaa.org/atm for more information.
  • ALL COMERS - Participants can be men or women of any age or affiliation.

Award Presentations
  • First Place Team Awards - Presented on the main stage at 11AM for every division.
  • All Other Team Awards - Must be picked-up at the Awards Tent next to the main stage beginning at 10:30AM on race day.
  • Awards Are Not Mailed - Please make arrangements to obtain your award on race day.
