The Army Ten-Miler is working with the DC Road Runners Club (DCRRC) as their exclusive training partner for 2009. The DCRRC program focuses on helping participants achieve their ATM race goals with 12 and 16 week programs that include weekly long runs, track workouts and mid-week runs. Beginner Walk/Run Training Plan (starts June 28th, 2009)
This plan is a 14 week plan designed to help those who are brand new to running develop a base that will minimize injury while still preparing them for a race of 10 miles in distance. The plan starts the week of June 28th and has walk/runs 4 days of the week. Download Plan
Beginner Training Plan (starts June 28th, 2009)
This plan is a 14 week plan designed to help those who are running several miles a week but are looking for a structured workout. This plan will develop a base that will minimize injury while still preparing them for a race of 10 miles in distance. The plan starts the week of June 28th and has runs 4 days of the week. Intermediate Training Plan (starts June 28th, 2009)
This plan is for those who have completed at least one or two comparable races and are looking to improve their time. The goal target time is 1:20-1:50 and individuals should already have a running base of 15-20 miles a week and be prepared to run 6 days a week incorporating speed-work. Download Plan
Advanced Training Plan (starts June 28th, 2009)
This plan is for those who have completed many races of the same caliber and are looking to PR. The goal target time is under 1:30 and individuals should already have a running base of 20+ miles a week and be prepared to run 7 days a week incorporating speed-work on two of those days. Download Plan
