Army Ten-Miler - Race Schedule (Overview)

Although the race is run on Sunday October 4th, volunteers have responsibilities throughout the weekend. This provides an overview of the race for Friday October 2nd, Saturday October 3rd, and race day Sunday October 4th. You can also access detailed hour-by-hour information for Sunday's race .

Friday October 2nd : Overview
Race events begin on Friday with an Expo at the DC Armory, located at 2001 East Capitol Street, SE. Expo features include:

• Vendor displays (include teaster about what type of vendors)
• Runners obtain their packets, solve any potential problems and get their tickets to the Geico Pasta Dinner.
• Volunteers provide runners with t-shirts, sign up runners for the youth run

9:00 AM Contractors will begin setting up the Expo
10:30 AM - 3:30 PM Volunteers working the Expo for Shift 1 11:00 AM Expo opens to runners
11:30 AM - 7:00 PM Running clinics throughout the day 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Press Conference 3:00 PM - 8:30 PM Volunteers working the Expo for Shift 2
8:00 PM Expo closes, although volunteers may work slightly later

Saturday October 3rd : Overview
8:30 AM - 12:30PM Volunteers working the Expo for Shift 1 9:00 AM Expo opens to the runners and general public 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Volunteers working the Expo for Shift 2 3:30 PM - 7:30PM Volunteers working the Expo for Shift 3 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Volunteers to collect tickets at the GEICO pasta dinner, which takes place in the Arlington Ballroom at the Crystal Gateway Marriot, Arlington, VA.
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM GEICO pasta dinner, which takes place in the Arlington Ballroom at the Crystal Gateway Marriot, Arlington, VA.


Sunday October 4th : Overview
Activities take place in the South Pentagon Parking Lot and the Start Line is on Route 27 5:30 AM Volunteers for Garment Check report to Metro Lower Bus Terminal
6:00 AM All Volunteers for Pentagon report to Lane 21 Volunteer Sign In Tent 6:00 AM Volunteers for Water Stations along course report to designated station 7:10 - 7:55 AM Golden Knights & Sky Hawks Parachute Jump
